PREBIOVET helps dogs and cats establish a healthy digestive tract and boosts the immune system. It is used in daily prebiotic doses to stimulate and develop the probiotic bacteria essential for good immunity.

Brewer‘s yeast, with its complex composition, gives more energy, boosts immunity and improves appetite. It’s also one of nature’s best sources of beta-glucan and mannan oligosaccharides (prebiotics).

Prebiotics are non-digestible natural fibers that probiotics (good bacteria) use for nutrition. Their decomposition only begins in the large intestine, under the influence of bacteria. The degradation products of prebiotics destroy pathogenic organisms and stimulate the growth of intestinal flora. As a result, prebiotics are used to stimulate the growth and activity of probiotics (stimulating their development) and thus become important factors in the health of the body as a whole.

Beta-glucans activate macrophages in the fight against viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites. They also speed up recovery during and after illness, boost energy levels and relieve tension and stress.

Mannan oligosaccharides (MOS) are non-digestible carbohydrates that can stimulate the growth and activity of beneficial intestinal bacteria and also support immune function, resulting in healthier stools.

Inulin (FOS) is a natural plant fiber, a prebiotic that digestive enzymes are unable to eliminate. As a result, inulin reaches the large intestine unchanged, where it undergoes complete fermentation by selected bacteria (probiotics) and stimulates their development.

MOS and FOS reduce stool odour by reducing the number of foul-smelling compounds (e.g. ammonia).

Chicory helps with loss of appetite and nausea, and stimulates digestion. High in antioxidants and vitamins A, C and E, it is used to support immunity.

Particular emphasis should be placed on vitamin C. It’s found in chicory in its natural form, so it’s better absorbed by the body. It contains Potassium, Manganese and Magnesium as minerals, so it preserves electrolytes in the event of diarrhoea and vomiting.
